DINING ROOM
Terms:
‘the Company ‘- The Great Pub Company
‘the Client’ – The hirer of the facilities at The Compasses at Pattiswick or The Swan at Felsted
Confirmation:
Private dining room bookings are confirmed upon receipt of a non-refundable deposit of £50. Provisional bookings will be held for 48 hours only. Thereafter any other booking may be taken in place of a provisional booking without consultation with the client.
Cancellation charges:
One weeks notice is required for cancellation of a confirmed private dining room booking. Late cancellations will incur a charge of £12.50 per guest unless the company can re-let the booked facilities between cancellation and the date of the booking.
Changes:
The company requests a minimum of 12 adult guests for all private dining room bookings, if at any stage during the booking process the number of guests falls below 12 the hirer will incur a charge of £12.50 per absent guest. Any changes in the final number of guests attending must be advised to the company no later than 48 hours prior to the function. If guest numbers decrease within 48 hours of the date of the function the hirer will be charged at full menu cost for each absent guest.
Unforeseen Circumstances:
The Company reserves the right to cancel any function due to unforeseen circumstances beyond the control of the company or for any matter deemed necessary by the company. The Company will not accept any responsibility, financial or otherwise.
Food and beverages:
The company will supply all food and beverages served on the premises.
Menus:
The company will provide a sample party menu for all Private dining room bookings. Menus cannot be confirmed until seven days prior to the function due to market availability and possible seasonal changes to the menus. The Company must be notified of all food allergies and special dietary requirements at least one week before the event. Should the client require the company to make a Birthday cake for the function, birthday cake request forms must be delivered to chef at least two weeks prior to the function.
Complaints:
Should any guest have any cause for complaint, he/she must notify the duty manager at the time. Complaints not notified will not be accepted after the function.
Payment
All charges incurred during the function must be settled at the end of the function by credit/debit card or cash.
External contractors
Permission must be obtained by the company for outside contractors to operate on the property. Should external contractors cause any disruption to the operation of the business the company reserves the right to ask them to leave the property and reimburse the company for any lost business.
Loss or damage:
The company does not accept any responsibility or liability in respect of loss or damage to any property brought on to the premises by or on behalf of the client, his servant, agent or persons authorised by the client to visit the premises. Appropriate insurance cover should be obtained by the client.
The company does not accept any responsibility or liability in respect of personal injury to guests whilst on company premises. Clients are reminded that children must be supervised at all times and should not be left to play on the activity centre in the garden without strict adult supervision.
Insurance:
The client shall accept responsibility for and should provide the necessary insurance cover to indemnify the company against all claims:
A) For loss or damage to any premises and their contents occupied or used during the period of hire where such loss or damage is caused or occurs as a result of any actions or omissions of the client, his servants, contractors, agents, licensees or guests.
B) Made by or against the clients, his servants, contractors, agents licensees, guests or any third parties.
Note: The client’s public liability insurance should not exclude cover for ‘property in the insurers care and custody or control of contractual liability’.
Consequential loss:
The Company does not accept responsibility for any claims of consequential loss suffered by the client, its servants, agents, contractors, licensees or guests following cancellation or abandonment of the event.
Damage:
The client will themselves be responsible to the company for making good damage which may be done to the premises, furniture and other property consequent upon the use of Company premises by persons attending such events.
General:
Regrettably, the following are not permitted in the private function room under any circumstances: party poppers, silly string, table confetti. Please also refrain from using blue tack, pins, or any form of fixings to hang any celebratory banners or balloons.
Prices:
The Company reserves the right to amend its published prices by giving a minimum of three months notice.
VAT:
The Company also reserves the right to increase its published prices for VAT and duty increases as imposed by the Governments budget without prior notice.
Legal:
The Company reserves the right to refuse entry to or prohibit service of food or beverages to any guests that appears to be under the influence of alcohol. |
